Theo, I was walking in the wood, and there was nobody around, only trees. I was thinking about you, Theo, in the wild wood, among those trees - unkempt, disordered. And when I came to the centre, further than I had ever been before, I found a hotel, door ajar, unoccupied. Theo, I went into the hotel at the centre of the wood. And inside, I found room after room after room empty, beds expectant, like the mouths of graves awaiting occupants - and ev'rywhere animal marks, the marks of animals. Theo, I went in, and a voice said: "Who are you? Who are you?"
